Audience: provides a bridge of introductory lesson plans to the “Take Charge of Your Finances” curriculum. Intended for students grades 7-9 or individuals with limited family finance knowledge.

Design: Each Get Ready lesson is based upon one or more “Take Charge of Your Finances” lessons. Review the FEFE Curriculum Table of Contents to learn which “Get Ready and Take Charge lessons” relate. Features of the Get Ready curriculum that differentiate it include:

Simplified content – Easier readability, less intense concepts, and fewer objectives to meet.

Interactive information sheets – As students are reading the information sheets, questions are inter-woven to each section enhancing student learning by helping them to stop and apply what they are reading to their life.

Time to teach: The average lesson takes 45-135 minutes to teach.
